This process enhances the grain’s strength, improves nutritional value, and reduces breakage during cooking and transportation. Sella rice is widely preferred in export markets for its firm texture, non-sticky nature, and excellent shelf stability. It is available in several varieties including 1121 Sella Basmati Rice, 1509 Sella Basmati Rice, and 1401 Sella Basmati Rice, which are known for their long grains and good cooking elongation, as well as IR64 Sella Rice, PR11 Sella Rice, and Swarna (MTU 7029) Sella Rice, which are popular non-basmati options valued for their durability, uniform grain size, and suitability for large-volume international trade.
